We could choose any country/city we wanted and we chose London because we thought it was freshest and we wanted to see what we could do to make it better. So I was doing all of the illustration for the olympic events (32+) but we decided it was way too much for such a little amount of time so we’re going in a different direction with a different style. But these are the ones I got to make: Archery, Fencing, Artistic Gymnastics, Basketball and Badminton. Our colour palette for these illustrations is very basic and neon complementary colours and we were very inspired by a sort of late 80s/early 90s vibe which I think came across pretty well. I was excited about this project because I saw it as a challenge for my abilities. I used a lot of references for these because I have no idea how bodies move in sports and I’m very happy with how these turned out!
